Sharing the stage with bands like The Marshall Tucker Band, performing residencies and touring in Northern California and Nevada, singer songwriter Kelly Ann has been taking a unique approach to folk music that fans have labeled "Soul Folk." In 2013, the multi-instrumentalist embarked on a fan funded, cross country tour to record her self titled EP and came back with something better than she expected.

Selling out of physical copies, the release has received praise from the folk community since its debut. Incorporating pop sensibilities with a rootsy sound and energy, Kelly Ann has fans singing her songs even after they've ended. With the success of the EP under her belt, the artist is working on new material for an upcoming full length album set for 2019.

the tour has ended...

...and I am finally home to my puppy! 11 gigs scheduled (4 cancelled), one trip to the ER, one week in the studio in Memphis, my car past the point of no return in a junk yard somewhere in Arizona, one rental car, a radio show in Santa Cruz and I am tired. Happy, but tired. Now for a little R&R and back to business! Like giving you all the chance of downloading (for FREE) the live radio version of You Can't Hurry Love from this morning's KPIG show! PLUS, if you missed it I have put the whole thing on soundcloud! Yes, I know you feel loved. You are. So start clicking some of these big letters and download and listen

Kelly Ann Miller - EP

I am pleased to announce here that what was going to be a 5 song acoustic EP is now a 6 song acoustic EP with a brand new song called Gypsy Soul. I had a blast working with producer/engineer Kirk Smith (and taking over his engineer's seat on a few percussive parts). Everyone who has helped with this album have been great! I think you will all enjoy it when it is released this summer! So make sure you follow me on facebook and keep up with all that is going on. XOXO - Kelly Ann
Madison Line Records, Memphis TN My part done, it's time for some percussion I get to sit back and enjoy the music unfolding

2013 Tour

The tour has begun! My kickstarter project failed, so no one who pledged will be charged and I do not have the funds to do a full release of the 5 song EP. However, thanks to some of my wonderful fans, I will be able to record it and release it on iTunes this summer!

I am overjoyed by all the people and adventure thus far. Saturday was quite whimsical at the Rochlitz backyard concert, as you can see here. Then on Sunday, Monterey greeted me with welcome arms at The Mucky Duck and I look forward to stopping in that area on my way back! Tomorrow I head to Albuquerque for the Gonzalez house concert and then I'm off to Memphis!
Love you all! - Kelly Ann

HELLO 2013

2012 ended with an amazing Saturday night at Ceol Irish Pub here in Reno, NV. Then I drove the next day to Redding, CA for a New Years' Eve party I played at Indian Peak Vineyard in Manton. Definitely a good way to end the year! What wasn't so fun was the car trouble that stranded me in Redding a few extra days. Thankfully, my dog Henry and I were in very good company!
Here is a picture shared by the wonderful Amanda Curren from last weekend and Henry and I at midnight on January 1 pretending not to be tired. We went to sleep almost immediately after taking this exciting "selfy"
Hope to see more friendly faces on Saturday night at Ceol's!
